Professional, Compassionate Care for Pets Across Steyning, Findon & the South Downs
Hello! I’m Steph, the animal-loving heart behind Downward Dogz 🐶
While I’m a dietitian by background, my true passion has always been animals. After years of dreaming about a career surrounded by four-legged friends, I finally took the leap — and Downward Dogz was born.
I’m proud to have registered with NarpsUK (National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers) and completed their Business Course in Pet Sitting & Dog Walking, including Canine & Feline First Aid training. This ensures that every pet in my care receives the highest standard of professional, compassionate service — and that I’m prepared for any situation.

All through the British College of Canine Studies.
In addition, I’m training to become both an:
ABTC registered Animal Training Instructor with Puppy School, and
L6 Ofqual qualified Clinical Canine Behaviourist through the Canine Behaviour College.
These studies allow me to better understand every pet’s unique personality, emotional needs, and behaviour — helping to build trust, reduce stress, and strengthen the bond between animals and their humans.

Service Area
Steyning and surrounds
At Downward Dogz, I believe that maximising the time spent with your furry companions is key to their happiness and well-being. To achieve this, I primarily maintain a 3-mile radius service area from my base in Steyning for dog walking, ensuring that I can collect your pups quickly and dedicate more time to their adventures rather than being on the road. If you are based a little further afield, however, please do inquire as to my availability in your area. For house sitting and Reiki services, I am more than happy to travel further afield to accommodate your needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information!
